Cathy Stedman, Physiotherapist

Cathy is a University of Western Ontario graduate with a Bachelors in Kinesiology and a Masters in Physical Therapy. Since obtaining her MPT, Cathy has taken many post-graduate courses in the orthopedic assessment and treatment of the upper and lower extremities.

Cathy has completed her post graduate training in pelvic health courses for incontinence, pregnancy, low back, sacroiliac joint (SIJ) and pelvic pain. Cathy also has done multiple public and professional talks regarding pelvic health.She has a strong interest in pelvic health and is to continually expanding her knowledge in this area and staying up-to-date with the latest research. Pelvic health Physiotherapy includes the assessment and treatment both externally and internally for women experiencing pelvic pain, weakness or incontinence prior to pregnancy, prenatally and/or postpartum.

Cathy Stedman also offer services for women experiencing low back, sacroiliac, hip, or foot pain during pregnancy or following birth. Our assessment session include orthopaedic low back, hip and sacroiliac testing and lower quadrant scans as well as internal vaginal and anal examinations as indicated. Treatments consist of internal and external manual therapy to muscles and joints, exercises prescription for stretching and strengthening, postural education, and modalities for pain reduction and muscle stimulation. We are very excited about the new treatment options we have to offer women experiencing prenatal or postpartum pain or incontinence and the positive impact we hope to have on their lives. Mothers are busy enough without having to worry about joint or muscle pain or incontinence. Cathy is a member of the Canadian Continence Foundation.
